Crawford, Archibald
Not a soldier per se, but a strong supporter of the Revolution. He could not serve due to a deformed hand. However, the war was fought near his property and in 1779 the British soldiers came early one morning and burnt his home and nearly all his belongings as a penalty. The event happened quickly and his young son Archibald was left inside. Fortunately, he was able to rush in and save his son who is also a direct ancestor.
